Description

James Suckling 92 Chateau des Laurets Puisseguin Saint-Emilion comes from vineyards with an average age of 33 years, located in the prestigious Bordeaux wine region. It is made entirely from Merlot grapes, harvested and selected only by hand in October. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks and oak barrels at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 16 months in new oak barrels and a further 12 months in the glass, before being marketed. This Puisseguin Saint-Emilion is characterized by an intense violet-red color with violet reflections. The nose opens with elegant hints of blackberry and black cherry, enriched by pleasant notes of vanilla. In the mouth it is of great aromatic complexity, well structured, with dense tannins that accompany a fruity and persistent finish. Perfect to accompany first and second courses based on red meats, it is ideal in combination with game and cured cheeses.
