This is a Grand Cru St Emilion rated 92 by Roger Voss

I bought a case from a wholesaler on a trip to France a couple of years ago, slightly on the off-chance, and it has been in my climate-controlled wine cellar since.

It is entering its drinking window so I cracked open the case a month or so ago and it is lovely. Everything a St Emilion should be, Bordeaux Blend of course but in this case a high percentage (70%) merlot. Lots of fruit - blackberries, some spice. Drinking well but still youthful; I reckon another 15 years is no problem. This is the last three bottles to sell and I plan to keep at least half the case to see how it develops.
