Description

You are bidding on three (3) identical bottles of the superb Langoa-Barton 2016 vintage. The Langoa-Barton estate is a Third Cru Classé in 1855 on the Bordeaux Left Bank in the Saint Julien appellation. The Barton family acquired this estate in 1821 and the sister vineyard Léoville-Barton in 1826 and have consistently made delightful wines year on year. The 2016 Langoa harvest took place from Sep 29th - Oct 1st and the wine was aged in barrels (60% new). The blend is Cabernet Sauvignon 55%, Merlot 37% and Cabernet Franc 8%. This wine gets universal praise from all the critics, averaging 93/100. The nose is expressed through fruity scents of black and red fruit mingled with leather and spices with the palate being sumptuously harmonious and revealing a finish with delicious spicy and woody hints. This wine has been stored in temperature and humidity controlled cellar since leaving the chateau. The ABV is 13% and the drinking window should be from now until at least 2040. Bang for buck this is a tremendous luxurious claret with great ongoing potential.
