A well kept Chateau Lascombes Grand Cru Classe Margaux, 1986.
Château Lascombes is a well-regarded and critically acclaimed wine estate in the Margaux appellation of the Haut-Médoc, just north of Bordeaux. The estate dates back to the 17th Century and its name comes from the original owner, the Chevalier de Lascombes. It is a 2nd Growth (2eme Cru) estate in the 1855 Classification of the Medoc, and is often considered a "Super Second", 2nd Growth wines of quality comparable to the 1st Growths.
The vineyards of Chateau Lascombes benefit from deep gravel soils. The wines are blends with a Cabernet Sauvignon dominance (50-55%), Merlot (40-45%) and around 5% of Petit Verdot. They are matured for approximately 18 months in oak barrels.
The wines are known for their deep colour, rich texture, ripe fruit and elegant tannic structure. Combining power and elegance, they are well rounded, concentrated wines with notable aromatics.
The bottle, label and cap are in excellent condition. The bottle is kept in a dark, temperature-controlled wine room.
