Description

1 x bottle in good condition.
Label is very good, with level high shoulder which is very acceptable for its age....some 64 years.
Some cellar damage to capsule, although this takes nothing away from the wine, which looks in very good shape.
Capsule has also been trimmed for authenticity, and the year 1953 can clearly be seen stamped into the cork.

Robert Parker describes Chateau Petrus as " the undisputed King of Pomerol and probably the most famous red wine in the world" and he goes on to say " there has been few Bordeaux wines that match this property for its extraordinary combination of power, richness, complexity and elegance".
The 1953 is a very fresh Petrus, with lively black olive characters and an expansive, powerful mouthfeel. A Medoc-like nose offers subtle, restrained menthol, blackcurrant and caramel. Medium-bodied, with politely elegant, sweet flavours and a rich, well balanced finish.

Direct deposit is preferred, although paypal is accepted a 5% fee will be added to the final invoice.
Wine searcher have this at an average value of £4050 ex tax.
