Expert tasting note: "Medium ruby-red in color with deep pigmentation. The dark-fruit aromas are tight & dusty. The palate is more open than the nose, with blackcurrant fruit & attractive oak. The wine is mid-weight & well-structured, but with good acidity to lift the fruit. Tannins are fine. The finish is long but quite leafy in style. Alcohol is balanced but the fruit on the finish needs to open to fill it out." - 11/03 DCAMW
