A pair of Mr Riggs Watervale Clare Valley Riesling (one each of the 2016 & 2017 vintages) and a Fourth Dimension Clare Valley Riesling 2017 (made by Taylor's/Wakefield), these bottles were originally imported for the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC).

Classic Clare Valley Watervale style, with abundant varietal fruit covering all the various citrus bases and sustained by positive minerally/slatey acidity. Good now, greater still in 5+ years.
2017 Mr Riggs Watervale Riesling, Clare Valley
Producer description: The Riesling has been sourced from Brysky Vineyards, the vines are planted by single cordon trellising, traditional to the Clare region. The fruit is machine harvested and crushed to stem. Pressings are separated from free run and the juice is partially clarified. The wine then undergoes gentle cold settling, tank fermentation with complex German yeast. The Rieslings from the cooler sub-region of Watervale, south of Clare, are crisp, tangy and delicate and this example is no exception.
