Description

A pair of bottles from a case stored in my underground Victorian cellar.

Jancis Robinson: 16+/20
Rhône blend. 58% Syrah, with the rest Grenache, Mourvèdre and Petite Sirah from the estate. Fermented in stainless steel then six months in oak with a range of ages, then 12 months in foudres.
Very floral, violet and rose nose, with bacon fat, grilled meat and white pepper. Ripe, full bodied, rich and round, with black cherry and liquorice. Long and spicy. Could do with a year or two to soften its edges. (TJ)
