RP 97 pts from the legendary 61 vintage...
bought from a deceased estate auction - been stored in LCB for many years and was sold recently - from estate.
lovely colour - still spritz when gently moved...Producer tasting notes: "Tasted for the first time in 1971. Elegant and refined. A really lovely bouquet, smooth, well-balanced, with hints of the fishiness of pinot noir and the smokiness of chardonnay . After a few moments in the glass, it becomes even smoother, with a hint of barley sugar. Discreetly mellow for Dom Perignon, with perfect body, flavour and length.
