Roger Sabon is a family-owned estate in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, with a range based around four different red Châteauneuf cuvées. This bottle of Cuvée Réservée is predominantly made of Grenache (80%) planted on soils of clay and limestone. This geological diversity brings clear aromatic complexity to the wine.
This bottle is from the great 1998 vintage, described by Robert Parker as “a benchmark vintage for Chateauneuf du Pape, even better than the 1990 vintage and producing wines of extraordinary balance”.

This bottle has been stored in temperature-controlled cellar since acquisition and is in great condition. No signs of seepage.
