Description

Coming from a solera created in 1862 to honour her Majesty Queen Isabel II of Spain to commemorate her visit to the estate, González-Byass Palo Cortado 'Apóstoles' spends more than 30 years ageing to produce a concentrated, deep amber-hued sherry from a blend of Palomino and a touch of sun-dried Pedro Ximenez which add richness. This is an extremely rare style of sherry which is initially aged under flor to produce a Fino, but naturally loses its protective layer to begin ageing oxidatively like in the production of an Oloroso.
