For auction is a set of 6 new and unused high-end glasses from world renowned 11th generation Austrian glass manufacturers Riedel (founded in 1756).
Their iconic handblown glassware is among the most beautiful, artisanal pieces to serve wine in - these glasses would retail for almost 600£.
These glasses are quite special as they are discontinued in this shape and are of absolutely fantastic quality, manufactured prior to 1995 - yet they new and unused!

The size and shape of the glasses makes them particularly suitable for aperitif and fortified wines like Sherry, Marsala, Madeira, Port but but also for Pineau des Charentes for instance.
I personally would also use them for high-end fruit based brandy/eau de vie such as from Rochelt, Etter or Ziegler as well as Tequila and Vodka or herb based digestifs like Chartreuse.
The glasses are very thin and elegantly shaped and come from my huge personal selection that is being reorganised.
The pre-2005 Riedel hallmark for entirely handmade glassware is etched into the foot of each of the crystal glasses.
The current price per glass for any of the Sommeliers line is from 95£ each.
The reserve is at only 160£ - less than a third (!) of what would be the retail.
