With the cost of mature single vintage madeiras rising into the stratosphere, 15 and 20 year old blended wines are the best way to get a reasonable glimpse of what the fuss is all about.

Henriques & Henriques are arguably the best producers of these carefully blended wines.

5/7/2013 - IGAF WROTE:
Shiny, brown with greenish-yellow rim. Needs time to open. Nuts, milk chocolate, coffee on the nose, not too sweet. The palate is sweet, complex and very spicy, with sharp acidity. Brown sugar, orange, ginger, almonds. Peppery finish. Very long, sweet coffee aftertaste. Very positive.

10/25/2012 - XAVIER AUERBACH WROTE: 93 Points
A private lunch (Restaurant El Celler de Can Roca ***, Girona, Spain): Wonderfully rich Malvazia nose, deep, caramel, coffee, nuts; on the palate sweet but balanced by delicious refreshing acidity; excellent length.
