Description

This bottle comes from a private cellar and has been with the same family for over 50 years.  The bottle has been looked after and is at mid neck level, has an intact capsule, seal and labels which are in good condition.

If you are born in 1963 you can have a wine for life.

91 points Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A light rust, garnet hue with degradated deep brick rim. The nose is comparatively simple with scents of cherry, spice, iron rust and wild strawberry. Perhaps a little flat compared to the others. A medium-bodied palate, quite pretty, with damson, cherries and a touch of sloes. Quite cohesive, though lacking the breeding of great 1963s. But the finish is pleasantly harmonious with good vigour, though perhaps rather linear. Given its reputation, this is actually better than I anticipated. Something tells me that this is an over-performing bottle, but this is a lovely, elegant mature port. Tasted February 2007. (NM-Wine Journal)

Had the chance to share a bottle of this May 18 - fantastic, great nose, palate and length.  Surprisingly young for a 55 year old wine.
