Wine Spectator 90 points
Raisiny and very sweet, with plum and prune aromas and flavors. Medium- to full-bodied, with a slightly hot finish, but should come around nicely. '91/'92 Port retrospective. Drink now through 2014.

From memory. Red center, sweet plums and cherries on the nose.
Good sweetness with supporting acid and tannin and well integrated alcohol. Good fruit with that classic Warre's taste.
Drinking very well now.

Two bottles opened to cater for numbers, both tasting similarly. A rare opportunity to taste a mature Warre port from a good vintage. Decanted about one hour before tasting, a little sediment. Drinking well, and on this tasting you feel it will go on for another 20 years. Smooth, rich, great bottle.
Dark ruby colour with great depth. On the nose, intense succulent blackcurrant fruits, with hints of chocolate. On the palate considerable tannin, and a rich velvety finish.
