Description

Bought in around July 2015 from Mike Hall of MHW Wine Merchants, Tidmarsh, Reading & stored in my Eurocave until 2020 at which point it was transferred to Nickolls & Perks temperature controlled storage until May 23, it is now being stored in my Eurocave. As you can see from the images the capsule is partly broken however, the cork is still in place & there are no signs of any seepage & as you can see from the images the fill level is still into the neck. See notes below-98/100, Jeff Leve, The Wine Cellar Insider, nWine like this reminds me I do not drink enough Port. Decanted 4 hours before service, the sweet, ripe, warm, rich, chocolate-covered cherries, spice, orange peel and plum liqueur hot all the right notes. What really makes this so incredible is the purity in the fruit. Full bodied, concentrated, elegant, sweet and fresh, the wine combines intensely, sweetness, acidity, complexity, length and depth. This is a very complex experience. 98 points. February 2020.
