Ludwig Rilling founded a winery in 1887 which became famous for its sparkling wines by 1935. Rilling s technical innovations played a decisive role in shaping sparkling wine production in Germany. Unfortunately, in 2023, an announcement was made regarding the closure of the winery.
Liebfraumilch is a German-style of semi-sweet wine. Regulations state that at least 70 per cent of the wine must be made from one or more of Riesling, Silvaner, Kerner or Müller-Thurgau.
