The Macallan 18 year old 1997 expression is incredibly smooth - the whisky combines notes of rich dried fruits and sherry with some gentle wood smoke and spicy flavours .

A benchmark malt since it was introduced; the colour is rich amber, the nosefeel mild and rounded and the aroma packed with Xmas cake mix, dried fruits, nuts and crystalised orange peel, which comes over as a citric top-note. The taste is both sweet and tannicdry, with Seville marmalade and chocolate in the finish.
