Description

Martinez Port was founded in 1790 by Sebastian Gonzalez Martinez, a Spaniard who also sold Port, Sherry and cigars in Mincing Lane, London. The 1960 tasted in 2019 revealed a port that is elegant, complex and with a long finish. Label in good condition, some paper wrap stuck to bottle below label, slight seepage. Level is below shoulder. I got seven of these bottles and just opened (29/05/2020) and tasted a bottle with the lowest level. Colour was almost turning tawny, quite light, but lovely taste and good finish. I have set the reserve at a reasonable £60.
