Description

Pale in colour, the Meursault Vieille Vignes, from vines over 50 years in age, shows a youthful, mineral side with a hint of struck flint but a prominent note of cool citrus and riper white pear. There is an underlying savoury note to the aromas, presenting more clearly on the palate as a creamy, buttery tone against the pristine green and yellow fruit. Cool, fine and youthful, this should hit its stride over the next 12 months and drink well for a decade. Textural pithyness and bright acidity keep everything lively, vibrant and harmonious to a long finish.
