Jancis Robinson: 17/20
36% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Franc, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot. 18 months in 300-litre French oak. TA 5.37 g/l, pH 3.74, RS 2.13 g/l, extract 32.16 g/l.
Graphite, somewhat unreadable on the nose. Very mineral, dark, elusive. The poker-faced Morgenster with the fruit cards close to a tight chest. A great skein of gleaming structure. This will open out with time, but for the moment it's not looking for a play mate. (Tamlyn Currin)
