Description

Just released from storage in-bond in the IEC Wine Society's temperature-controlled cellar, this wine is ready to drink and at its peak. Les Enseignères vineyard is located in a former oak forest of 9.12 hectares at an altitude of 230-250m. This comes from a 1 ha parcel where Leflaive manages four plots scattered on the terroir located below les Grands Crus of Batard and Bienvenues Batard. This terroir is considered as the richest and the most powerful of its category. It is a blend of several plots with a brown soil on a limestone flagstone with a calcareous clay soil.
The grapes are harvested 100% manually. At their arrival in the cellars, the grapes are immediately and carefully pressed with a pneumatic press.
The wine which is made from 100% Chardonnay is aged for 6 months in a stainless steel tank and then for 12 months in oak barrels. The alcohol content is 13%
The wine has retained the floral, honeysuckle Puligny character, and has an apple-fresh palate. The mouth is complex and of a beautiful depth.
