Bought on BFW in May 2016 & stored in my Eurocave until 2020 at which point it was transferred to Nickolls & Perks temperature controlled storage until May 23. Fill level is into the neck & as you can see the bottle is in excellent condition.
IMPORTANT:- If you search on CellarTracker/Wine searcher for a bottle of 1998 Grange at the moment of this listing it shows a bottle with a starting bid of £230 on BFW however, when you tap the shop link it goes to a Dreweats auction in which the winning bidder must also pay a buyer's premium of 24% pushing the end total up!

Massive, packed and stacked with multiple layers of ripe fruit. The wine is filled with fresh blackberries, smoke and spice. This is a beefy, masculine powerful, tannic wine that demands time. While the quality of the wine is there, and its clearly well made, for my own palate it is more about sheer power than finesse.
