A pair of bottles stored in my underground Victorian cellar.

Jancis Robinson: 17/20
Includes 15% Merlot. 'Wonderfully wet winter then terribly dry.' Picked 19–25 March. Aged in new French oak barrels for 20 months.
Mid, quite transparent crimson. Nicely behaved. Well balanced even if not that intense. Very much aimed at balance rather than intensity. A light vegetal note on the end but the fruit is sufficiently ripe, and the whole is easy to drink and enjoy. Long and quite subtle.
