So this is that fiercely debated vintage for mighty Petrus; the one that underwhelmed Parker but Broadbent considered the best of the 80s. And that's saying summink given the legendary status of the '82 and '89! Old Guard vs New(ish). I've seen Broadbent award this vintage 5 stars in at least two separate reviews, and the glowing notes in the more recent reviews on Cellar Tracker would seem to endorse Broadbent as the long term winner (neither Parker nor Broadbent has published notes on this vintage for over 20 years). It's turned out to be a humdinger!
My handsome bottle has been stored well (of course!) and is in good all round order. There's a small tear to the top of the label, and a dirty mark bottom right. Other than that, it's tip-top.
