Description

Purchased from Wine Society and Held in Reserves for a couple of years before delivery earlier this year. Have drunk several of these; rich wine in a rich vintage, good food wine, blast of flavour, no shrinking violet for sure.

No review for the 2019, but both 2016 and 2017 scored 93 points with RP. 2017 review below.

Aromas of delicately buttered orchard fruit, honeysuckle and fresh peach preface the 2017 Pouilly-Fuissé Vieilles Vignes, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and caressing wine with an elegantly textural attack, good concentration at the core and succulent balancing acids. It's another successful wine from this consistently fine producer.
