Almost fully opaque cherry marmalade color. Sweet, fine-tuned and pleasantly floral nose with rich aromas of cherry marmalade, licorice, some wild flowers, a little bit of pruney dark fruits and a hint of bilberry. The wine is full-bodied, sweet and rich on the palate with bright flavors of raisins, dried dates and figs, some blackberry jam, a little bit of cherry marmalade and a hint of stony minerality. The wine is wonderfully high in acidity and the tannins feel ample and chewy yet very ripe and quite gentle. The finish is sweet, warm and lengthy with rich flavors of bilberries and boysenberry jam, some perfumed floral tones, a little bit of overripe plums, light cherry marmalade tones and a hint of raisiny fruit.
