Description

There are 3 bottles of this wine.
They do not have any labels as per the picture.
Ullage is as per picture also.

They are BELIEVED to be the wine as listed - but unfortunately I can obviously offer no guarantees.

- They were purchased in a group of similar aged wine which included bottles of Chateau Bellevue 1945 (see seperate listing)
- I gave a bottle to a friend who discovered the name and vintage when he pulled the cork (pic attached)

I have attached a sample image of the label - this is a mock up to give an indication of what the label may have looked like.

thewinecellarinsider.com:
"1947 Bordeaux wine occupies a legendary status that few other Bordeaux vintages will equal."

Idealwine.com:
"The vineyard's origins can be traced back to the 16th century. The property was then known as La Salle de Poujeaux and was attached to the current Château Latour. During the 19th century, Château Poujeaux belonged to the Castaing family, until it was split into three in 1883 following the settlement of the estate. One of the heirs, Philippe Castaing, sold his share to François Theil in 1921. Theil's son Jean then reassembled all three plots to recreate the original property in 1957.

Best vintages for Château Poujeaux : 2005, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1998, 1997, 1996, 1995, 1993, 1990, 1989, 1988, 1986, 1985, 1983, 1982, 1961, 1959, 1949, 1947"
