A 60 year old bottle in remarkably good condition of this well known Saint Emilion which at that time was under the ownership of the Mallet-Roquefort family now better known as owners of Ch La Gaffelière - 1st Growth Grand Cru Classé.
Perhaps a candidate as 60th Birthday Honours to he who has everything?
Situated at Saint Etienne de Lisse, tha 25 hectare estate is planted with 75% merlot, 15% cabernet franc and 10% cabernet sauvignon.
Despite its age it has a good high level at base of neck / just into neck. The label is complete and with no blotches or tears - see photos.
The capsule is all original and in good order and certainly no signs of any seepage.
