Chateau Latour is like no other Bordeaux wine. It is in a unique class of its own. Chateau Latour has been the most consistent of the First Growth chateaux from the Medoc for over 100 years! Chateau Latour is one of the oldest Bordeaux wine properties in the Pauillac appellation with a history dating all the way back to 14th century! It is thought the original Saint-Lambert tower, giving birth to the name Latour was created in the second half of the 14th century.

Due to the extreme frost, very little Bordeaux wine was produced in 1956 and it’s getting more difficult to find bottles of 1956 Bordeaux wine today.
