This wine was bought by me from a bidforwine managed auction 2 years ago and stored at 13 deg ever since

Wonderful mature margaux. Upon opening, the nose was mute and the fruit was non-existent on the palate. I could taste tomato juice and copper pennies. Within a half an hour, however, the fruit emerged and the remaining tannins unfolded giving the wine both depth and structure. Nothing overly complex, but lovely charcoal, dark fruit, and wet earth were present. Floral notes wafted up from the glass but found no place in the taste or the finish.
