Chateau Coufran uses a remarkably high percentage of Merlot (about 85%), and has always been an under-the-radar, value Chateau. Located about 3 miles north of St Estephe, in the Haut Medoc. Unfortunately,this wine's low profile means that the 1966 Coufran has escaped the attentions of most wine critics.
However,there are several tasting notes of this vintage on Cellartracker,the three most recent ones being:-
