Description

A very good example of this now 50+ year old.
It features a very clean and complete label and a level commensurate with age at Top Shoulder.
The embossed capsule has an inconsequential rub to the rim.

In "Bordeaux: A Consumer's Guide to the World's Finest Wines," Robert Parker calls La Lagune one of Bordeaux's "shining success stories":
"In 1958 George Brunet, an entrepreneur, acquired the property and totally replanted the vineyard and constructed what today remains one of the more sophisticated wineries in the Médoc... The quality and strength of La Lagune improved significantly between 1966 and 1990. As the vineyard has gotten older, La Lagune continued to emerge as one of the great--and surprisingly reasonably priced--wines of the Médoc."
