Bottle of '67 with a complete label, chateau embossed capsule with the level at High Shoulder - see photo.

Chateau Branaire Ducru, a Fourth Growth estate which was once part of Chateau Beychevelle, is located on the lofty St Julien-Beychevelle plateau in southern St. Julien. 50 hectares of vines surround the chateau, rooted deep into the alluvial gravel soil. The vineyards are planted with 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot.

Wines from Château Branaire Ducru are densely packed and rather powerful, typically showing complex aromas and flavours of dark berries, exotic cocoa powder, smoky oak and mint.
