"In 1968 a family business with roots riojanas decides to recover its origins founded Bodegas Alavesas at the foot of the walls of Laguardia, a medieval town located in the heart of the Rioja Alavesa. Years later it was decided to expand the wine industry to another historic denominations of Spanish wine, Ribera del Duero. Bodegas Duron, the group Solar de Samaniego becomes one of the pioneers Rioja wineries to settle in this appellation of origin."
