Bottle with an excellent level and embossed capsule but a rather tatty but more or less complete label - see photo.

opaque ruby burgundy colour with no bricking at all.
Nose lightly funky, lightly closed at first, some graphite. Palate deep, some honey, some sour cherries, light dustiness on finish, finish is *long*. Still so young. Very nice. 92 pts

This was in great shape. Enjoyed for a Valentine's dinner, this wine showed no signs of being over the hill. One more bottle left that I will try in a couple months.

Impeccably well stored. Low neck fill. Acquired upon release. Mid Life. Still a hint of tannin, but rich in an incisive way that modern style Bordeaux wines are not. On the red fruit side with perhaps a clove note. Good but not a great finish. Interestingly, cut right through a bottle of 1990 Corton. Modern style, the reverse is generally the case. I think the bottles I have will be just fine say thirty years out.
