Description

This wine has an average rating of 91 Points from 19 Users on CellarTracker. As with any bottle of 36 years of age,the wine inside will probably vary in character, quality and age worthiness. The last two tasting notes on CellarTracker:-

"Classic. Red currant and that unmistakable Cabernet Franc,Figeac nose.Fully resolved tannins, but plenty of bright acid holds the wine together beautifully".
(92 Points).

CellarTracker. (1/6/2014).

"Bottom neck fill with a cork soaked 80% through.Tawny in color with moderate bricking, this is a fully mature wine.Rose petal, cranberry, and plum come across on the nose before the typical tobacco and cigar box aromas. On the palate, some fading black fruits can still be detected along with scorched earth and tobacco leaf and a moderate to short finish. This one is clearly fading, but is still a pleasurable experience".

CellarTracker. (17/3/2014).

And it came as a pleasant surprise in a Figeac vertical in 2012:-

"One of the pleasant surprises of this Figeac vertical. This is a truly excellent wine.Nice acidity keeps this wine fresh and firm.Really good balance in the mouth.Drinking very well now, especially with food (game birds in particular). It has a familiar resemblance to the 1989,but I feel that this wine is much stronger.Really wonderful".
(94 Points).

CellarTracker. (25/3/2012).
