D'Issan's blend is around 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot.
Robert Parker - The Wine Advocate
Very dark ruby in colour with an expansive, rich, spicy earthy bouquet, the 1982 D'Issan seems successful for the vintage but certainly not one of the leaders. On the palate, the wine displays good black cherry fruit, a supple richness and moderate tannins.

A bit of a mildew and cork on the nose, but also provides the Margaux sweet elegance; silky with cherry-blackberry; light smooth finish; tannins have melted.

A classic wine, beautiful, fully integrated with lots of character and secondaries, very nice perfume. We had bottle variation tonight. I had a great bottle. Great with guinea hen, duck prosciutto and pistachio pate en croute.
