"The timing was excellent for opening this bottle. I did not decant as I wasn't sure of the status of the wine and would not recommend decanting except just ahead of serving.
Classic Medoc nose with fruity,earthy and spicy elements. Not quite as refined as top wines from Pauillac and St. Estephe,but still excellent structure and aromatic richness. Slightly more rustic,fuller style; perhaps more reminiscent of Fronsac. The tannins are still present but of excellent ripeness holding the wine together nicely.
If well stored, drink over next 3-5 years".
