TWO LOTS OF TWO BOTTLES.

Levels in each lo: 1 bottle 'in neck' and one bottle 'base of neck'.

Labels dusty from their previous abode in a private Herefordshire cellar.
They are complete and in good order.

Capsules: in very good condition, with no corrosion nor signs of seepage.

This is a great start for Anthony Barton, although ’83 should be drunk sooner rather than later. Quite a deep colour for and ’83. A very fragrant nose with of red cherries, espresso, leather and cigar box, certainly showing more secondary aromas than before. The palate is medium-bodied, fleshy like the ’85, very harmonious with just the correct degree of austerity. Classic in style, very focused with a supple, savoury finish that could do with just a little more persistency. Natural, elegant and unassuming. Drink now-2016. Tasted May 2009
