Red cherry note, spices on the palate. Tannin mellowed. Middle finish.

I don't know why so many people hate this wine. I get that it is not the most concentrated of all Bordeaux but still, it has nice density and a certain richness. With some air it opens up nicely...

Quartet unplanned evening invited and hosted by Yoram (Rokah-Yam at Jaffa Port): colour: dark transparent red-brown-black
nose: elegant ripe fruity tertiary aromas with leather, vanilla-oak and old furniture notes
palate: med bodied, fully integrated tannins, good acidity, good harmony, low fruitiness, med complexity, dry, lacks structure, clearly a close-to-great wine which is somewhat over the peak, but still enjoyable, mainly by sniffing, not so much on the palate; long after taste.

1990 Bordeaux quartet round #1 meeting #3 (at Yoram Solberg): Light red colour. Tertiary aromas of leather, old ripe cherries, vanilla, oak, spices. Elegant, medium bodied, tannic, bitter, no fruit, balanced. Long after taste.

London Business School Wine Tasting (Luce 97, Tignanello 03, Les Forts de Latour 83, Mouton 83, Domaine de Ferrand 07, Creator 05, Favia Cabernet 06, The Relic 04): What a great wine, I had this wine when it was not stored perfectly and then it is not good but this bottle was absolutely stunning (and I'm in general not a fan of second wines). This smelled like leather, stables, moist wool, imagine how it to smelled in your grandma's closet. Beautiful balance, very elegant, velvety texture, concentrated. Very very good. This is the highest I have ever rated a second wine!
