Chateau Beychevelle used to be a traditionally made and traditionally styled Bordeaux wine full of cassis, earth, spice and tobacco notes that age’s well.
I may have a second bottle in the same condition available.

Perfectly seamless, integrated and complete wine. Polished not by winemaker but by age. This is the pinnacle expression of Cabernet blends in Bordeaux and if you think it's too smoky or green or insufficiently fruited you're wrong.

I opened it and was ready to send it too the sink, but my
dinner companion argued for patience. Meanwhile I went to the cellar
to get a substitute. After 30 minutes the Beycheville started to
open and was both interesting and enjoyable. Definitely needs
food. Not as good as the previous bottle from the case, two more
to go.
