One bottle of 1985 Chateau D'Angludet (Margaux).
One bottle of 1985 Chateau Carteau Cotes Daugey St.Emilion Grand Cru.
One bottle of 1985 Chateau Larmande St.Emilion Grand Cru Classe.
The 1985 vintage in Bordeaux was noted for wines that were soft,seamless and round,with delicious mellow ripe fruits,harmony,elegance and no hard edges.
"1985 Bordeaux is a vintage of great harmony,where each Chateau's individuality is expressed devoid of any exaggeration.They are all perfect now and the best have another decade in front of them.Readers still with 1985s in their cellar are very lucky".

A recent tasting on CellarTracker of Chateau D'Angludet 1985:-
"Cork split whilst removing,crumbled across the middle.Sediment well settled.Brick rim but dark centre.Mellow nose,less grassy than normal.Smooth and fruity in the mouth,some dryness too,but fruit dominates.Quite light on the tongue,smooth as a liqueur.No fur on the teeth,aftertaste has the grass and mineral of a younger D'Angludet,but lasting flavour in blackcurrant.Delicate layers of oak and fruit.Gently harmonious.Wouldn't have put it almost 30 years old.A fine example of why the best years are worth keeping".
