Mature. Smokey, notes of leather, dark fruit, olives, tobacco, a manly wine, such a treat in the midst of tasting only youngsters.

The hot summer with some rain in 1988 made thick, full-bodied reds. This is no exception. great drinking now -- with firm, chewy tannins and displaying cassis, mineral, and lead pencil characteristics.
