"1990 is the best year for Tuscany since the fabulous 1985 vintage.The wines exhibit terrific color,superripe aromas,wonderful richness,and a surprisingly crisp acidity,something difficult to achieve in years of great ripeness.The Cabernet Sauvignon/Sangiovese-based Vino di Tavolas should last for 15 or more years.A stunning vintage!".

The above wines are made of a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese and in the superb 1990 Super Tuscan vintage,because of the strange Italian wine appellation names,came under the title (like Sassicaia and Tignanello) of a Vino di Tavola.As with top clarets from excellent vintages,these wines are recognised for their keeping qualities.
Since purchase on release,they have been kept in excellent storage conditions and the wine fill of both the bottles is still high into neck.
