"This was a strong vintage for Vieux-Chateau-Certan.The 1990 reveals a deep garnet color to the rim along with a sweet bouquet of charcoal,licorice,roasted herbs,forest floor,and a meaty,truffle-like scent.A fleshy,full-bodied wine,with exceptionally low acidity,plenty of melted tannin,and a long,layered finish,this beauty is close to full maturity,but is in no danger of falling apart.It should keep for another 15+ years".

"The 1990 Vieux-Chateau-Certan possesses a mind blowing nose of pomegranate syrup,marshmallow,Brazilian nuts,subtle Indian spice,and the essence of a freshly rolled Cuban cigar that gains and gains power.Very feminine and flashy,with berry coulis,delicate acids and seamless oak tannins.The 1990 V.C.C. reminds me much of Le Pin from the same vintage.There is nothing more beautiful than a Pomerol from an excellent vintage.So precious,it will make you lick the glass for every drop.A pure narcotic thrust!".
