Some comments :

The 1993 was lasted tasted by the critics in the late-1990s. With 20 years of bottle age on it, this will have finally come into its own. In December 2013, the Perrin family wrote: "This wine is ready to drink and must be decanted several hours before serving. Stand the bottle upright 48 hours before serving to avoid any deposit."

Wine Spectator
The cherry, licorice and black pepper flavours are true to form, but dominated by firm tannins at this stage. (11/1996)
