Two recent tastings of Chateau Giscours 1993 on CellarTracker:-

"Good youthful color.Furniture polish,leather books,fresh cigars,and dark cherry nose.The palate is polished,soft blackcurrant fruit,layered,rich.Excellent,didn't expect much given the vintage and thefar from perfect storage conditions in a wine rack in my mother's utilty room".

"The '93 Giscours opened up beautifully after decanting for 30 minutes...the nose brought forward lots of red fruit,namely strawberry and cherry and this was augmented by earthy notes such as wet leaves.The taste was spectacular...currant,cherry,and a slight hint of chocolate...should drink well for 10 years...Score 93¬.
