Description
A good example of this Lebanese cult wine from the '94 vintage.
Level at base of neck, label complete bar a small nick bottom right, and a good embossed capsule.
Copied from an earlier doffering of this wine on BidforWine:
"Older bottles of Chateau Musar are often an intriguing mouthful of wine. The unusual blend of Cabernet Sauvignon,Carignan,Cinsault, and Grenache grapes needs time to soften and with age, this wine shows its true glory.
Some people,(like Robert Parker) suggest that older vintages taste similar to Chateauneuf du Pape.Others, like myself, compare it to a fine old Burgundy.
There is no doubt that age in bottle adds to the suppleness, complexity, and finesse of Chateau Musar".

Excerpts from recent tasting notes on CellarTracker:
"What a beautiful surprise! Decanted and served.Quite bricking in colour.Nose floral,leathery,red fruits,cherries,strawberry.
Palate wise: quite soft, round tannins, very elegant, light sweet core of red fruits.A very special wine and a beautiful experience.Drink now".

"Upon the first swirl and the sniff,I was taken back to the first time with this particular bottling.Amazing! Everything I looked for in this bottle was there - ripe,strawberries,musk,game,bandaid...so unique,so funky,so great!".
"On this fifth hour,I feel obligated to write this - wait a minute.am I drinking perfectly matured Grand Cru Burgundy???".

"From an unusually hot vintage.Warm, open, spicy nose:quite sweetly fruited and powerful. The palate is spicy with sweet fruit (yes, there is fruit here!),notes of tea and herbs, and a spicy alcoholic finish. The sweet fruit is balanced by the tannins and acidity.Delicious and complex, with great concentration.Very good/excellent".
