"The prodigeous 1999 Beaucastel Chateauneuf du Pape boasts aromas of blackberry fruit intermixed with cassis,licorice,roasted meats,leather,and truffles.While it does not possess the fat or precociousness of the 1998 or 2000,it displays more definition and elegance.This full-bodied,concentrated,classic Beaucastel is built along the lines of the 1995 and 1990. Anticipated maturity: 2007-2025".

Sinewy middle,leading to a game-tinged finish.Very good length with a hint of black truffle on the aftertaste.Superb.Drink 2010-2020+".
